KNOTWTR VOGUE - CYBERTRON

This project delved into the intersection of fine art and fashion, exploring how wearing artwork transforms traditionally static pieces into dynamic expressions. Movement allows the art to thrive in contemporary spaces, fostering potent and engaging dialogue.
2023, my final screen printing project at the University of Oregon, I had the freedom to create without boundaries. My aim was to go beyond the conventional flat canvas, incorporating the unique iconography of my brand, Almighty Vision, to craft something  dynamic.
The artwork adapts to the contours of the wearer's body, becoming a living canvas. While traditional art and printmaking aim to evoke emotions, they are often static. In contrast, this wearable print fulfills its purpose by transforming everyday streets into galleries.
Meet Obi Nwankwo, the owner and curator of KNOTWTR, a brand embodying the ethos 'Knot Neglecting Our Talents, Willing to Take Risk.' Here he is, showcasing the original VISION concept. During our meeting in LA, we agreed to collaborate, leading to the development of the KNOTWTR Cybertron.
Following the successful completion of the Cybertron project earlier this year, Obi caught the attention of Vogue International. He was invited to feature in their Blockbuster Fashion edition in October 2023. The decision was to showcase a piece that not only moves but functions with the impact and flair of a true blockbuster
